See the Lilies & Grass?

Shoe business is kind of slow lately, but if there's one thing that I am thankful for - it's that friends and old customers come back to me for orders when I need it the most. You see, I need to earn back the travel spending I've done over my last two trips so this small biz is helping me with all my expenses (which grows together with your age) and savings. :)

So thanks girls! Some people are not too keen on having their pairs delivered after 2-3 weeks (since SMFW specializes in made to order shoes), but friends and loyal customers of SMFW come back to get their comfy and affordable flats, especially when the heavy rains have left us with wet and ratty pairs of office shoes. Glenda has soiled 3 of my flats! That's the typhoon aftermath for some of the shoe-loving populace... Better the shoes than people, right? :P

Anyway, my mind was running with the bills that I need to pay minutes after plopping down on my pillow last night. I was telling it to give it a rest because I just really wanted to sleep, but my head insisted on computing numbers minutes before it finally heeded my instruction to relax and doze off...

So it was apt that I read this passage this morning... spot first the details of the lilies below! :D Iz so pretty!

27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! 29 And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried. 30 For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you. - Luke 12: 27-31

God is not saying that we are to spend without thinking (my translation: shop your heart out teehee!)  but to focus first on the more important things and He will take care of the rest. And I've seen Him provide for me every time, and these friends and loyal customers are testament to that. :)

My friend who is one of the most tipid girls I know was telling me yesterday that she was supposed to split a cab with her office mate last night after their free movie night but then her friend came with her parents and since they both live in Pasig, her friend just offered to give her a ride home -- so no need for cab fare -- then she followed this up with "God is good," which both made us laugh because the sitch sounded a little pathetic but the statement is true.

GOD IS GOOD, both in the grand and the small scheme of things, whether it's a 120k check from PCSO (also a friend just shared this to me this week because her dad was in ICU for months!) or a free ride home, it's all within the goodness of our Great Provider. :)

PS. And hey, I also got to benefit because I was treated to their free movie! For a Friday night, I only spent P120 for my food! Odba! Yaaaay! Tipid-tipid din! *happy dance*
